Guide to Berlin Brandenburg Airport [BER]: Opening, Location, Departures & Arrivals

Berlin Brandenburg Airport

The Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) is located on Berlin's southern city limits and is one of Berlin's two international commercial airports, along with Berlin Schönefeld (SXF).

Air traffic at Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL) will cease in October following the opening of the Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. The airport is expected to be able to handle a total of up to 45 million passengers.

Terminal T1 will be the first to open when Berlin-Brandenburg opens, and long-haul airlines and Easyjet will be the first to move to BER.

The Berlin-Schönefeld Airport will be integrated into the Berlin-Brandenburg Airport and become Terminal T5 of the new airport.
